What Is TTTS?

Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome (TTTS) is a condition where a tiny muscle in your middle ear contracts too often, causing



Fluttering or throbbing in your ear



A feeling of fullness or pressure



Ear pain or tension during stress

It’s part of a broader group called MEM (Middle Ear Myoclonus), and it’s physical, not psychological.

How Is It Different from Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is about hearing phantom sounds. TTTS is about feeling sensations and often worsens with stress, posture, or pressure on the ear.

via relaxation or meditation

Pillow changes

believe it or not, a softer pillow can reduce nighttime symptoms

in severe cases (consult your ENT)
